This seminar is designed for human resource directors, attorneys, safety directors, insurance claims representatives, occupational health nurses, benefits professionals, risk managers, business managers and rehabilitation specialists.
An experienced faculty of workers’ compensation professionals will try to impart some logic to the mystery of when a worker is injured in the course of his or her employment and how the assessment of penalties and the award of excessive attorney’s fees for an alleged unreasonable contest may be avoided.
Special attention will be focused on the employer’s human resources department’s role in mitigating workers’ compensation liability in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The faculty will concentrate on Act 57 vocational issues pursuant to section 306(b)(2) of the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act, settlements under the compromise and release provisions of Section 449 of the Act and up-to-the-minute medical reimbursement issues.
