Training Course Syllabus:


Behavioral plans can be tangled nightmares that are impossible to get implemented.

This workshop is designed to assist the school professional in understanding the legal requirements of behavioral plans, what information should be included in them, and provide solutions to the many problems in implementing the plans effectively.

Discussed in the workshop will be legal issues surrounding behavioral plans, steps to collaboratively consult in writing the plans, identification of intra and inter-personal concerns when writing plans, cross-cultural issues, common roadblocks to implementation, and steps to overcome the roadblocks.

In this lecture-small group-interactional workshop, participants will leave with templates for FAAs, P-BIPs, P-BIP Reviews, and BSPs, will know when to write a BSP vs. an FAA, and will be able to identify and rectify potential roadblocks in getting the plan implemented. Participants will write a mock plan and leave with information generated not only from the presenter, but from other participants.
