By reviewing the key elements of crash reconstruction from both the automotive and biomechanical engineering perspectives and learning the common differences in police reconstructions and engineering reconstructions, attendees will learn how automobile engineering issues can contribute to a motor vehicle accident (MVA) or cause specific MVA injuries and how these injuries are used to reconstruct occupant kinematics and forces in a collision. Attendees will also learn when to engage a biomechanics expert (or expert team) in addition to, or instead of, a physician.
