Internet porn, extramarital affairs, XXX videos, adult book shops, prostitution, sexual chat rooms - a growing number of people are finding themselves caught up in destructive sexual behaviors. They are desperately trying to control these behaviors, but are unable to break free. These struggles are some of the most misunderstood and deeply hidden problems in peoples' lives and translate into tremendous emotional and social loss for themselves and loved ones.

In this timely, one-day seminar, attendees will learn the skills they need to assess and treat compulsive sexual behaviors, including managing the Internet, identifying the seven motivators of destructive sex, assessment tools and specific strategies for prevention, crisis management and restoration. With a creative multimedia presentation, participants will acquire a common sense understanding of destructive sexual behaviors, sound counsel and practical interventions to use with their clients.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Paul Simpson, Ed.D., is a licensed psychologist, author and national speaker with over 20 years of experience counseling people with sexual compulsions, including working in one of the nation's leading treatment programs for sexual addictions. Currently, he is the clinical director for Renewal Centers in Southern Arizona and has his own private practice in Tucson, Arizona.

Dr. Simpson has been an instructor with Northern Arizona University and has written professional articles published in such journals as Physician Magazine, Individual Psychology and Issues in Child Abuse Accusations. He is the author of Second Thoughts: Understanding the False Memory Crisis and his forthcoming book, Moth to the Flame: Overcoming the Seven Motivators of Destructive Sex. Dr. Simpson has been recognized by the National Register of Health Care Providers in Psychology and the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards. He is a member of Who's Who in the United States, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, and Who's Who in Executives and Professionals.

With a creative multimedia presentation and a dynamic speaking style, Dr. Simpson is a much sought-after speaker. Dr. Simpson has been a guest on Parent Talk Radio, CNN, Fox News, Frontline, Focus on the Family, the Leeza Gibbons Show, the Joan Rivers Show, and numerous radio programs.
