ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Norman W. Wilkens, is president of Ambient Communications, Inc., a marketing, advertising and public relations firm in Indianapolis, IN. Wilkens began his advertising career in 1957 and has gone on to excel in the public relations and advertising industry at all levels. His health care experience includes the public relations responsibilities for one of Indiana's largest hospitals for 13 years, as well as handling promotional marketing for numerous nursing homes and clinics. Wilkens is active in community affairs, advertising education and politics. He has held teaching posts at Indiana, Butler and Indiana Wesleyan Universities as an instructor in broadcast writing, advertising and public relations. During his career, he has received many honors for his contributions to the field of advertising and public relations. Most recently, he received the American Women in Radio and Television Lifetime Achievement Award and the Indiana Federation of Advertising Agencies Legend Award and was recognized in Who's Who in American Business. In 1980, Governor Otis R. Bowen named him a "Sagamore of the Wabash." He has provided advance publicity for Presidents Nixon, Ford and Reagan during the Indiana political campaigns.

Cross Country Education is a Preferred Provider of professional continuing education with the National Association of Boards of Examiners of Long Term Care Administrators (NAB) and has approved this program for the number of clock hours listed under their sponsor agreement with NAB/NCERS. This program is approved for 6 continuing education clock hours Approval #1072007-25194-6. State licensure boards, however, have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses.

This program has been submitted to the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy for 7.2 contact hours for PTs and PTAs.
