DISC Assessment Training For Managers -
Training Tool for Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders Training Seminar
Description:
Used by more than 40 million people worldwide,
DISC is a behavioral assessment tool that provides a comprehensive model for
understanding your management style and how to effectively manage and interact
with others. DISC is used in a wide variety of settings, including
business, education, sales, and coaching to improve productivity, teamwork, and
communication and to reduce conflict. Essentially, DISC identifies
patterns of behavior, and can be used to implement solutions for maximizing an
individual's strengths and minimizing weaknesses. Among other things, it helps
to:
- Enhance communication skills
- Build leadership abilities
- Diffuse interpersonal conflict
- Boost performance and productivity
- Strengthen workplace skills
- Make smart hiring decisions
Why Use DISC
When it comes to managing people, one size does
not fit all. As individuals, we all have our own "styles" in how we communicate
and interact with others. However, diverse work styles also can create constant
management challenges for today’s supervisors. For instance, one employee might
be overly bold and assertive while another is introspective and focuses on the
details. While they might be great workers independently, there is a clash
whenever they have to work together. Further, without training on recognizing
and properly reacting to differing personality styles, your managers and
supervisors might get frustrated while trying to motivate a group of diverse
personalities. Conversely, management effectiveness, team dynamics, and
productivity can be improved dramatically simply by understanding and leveraging
the diverse styles of our workers. The DISC program works because it identifies
behavioral differences and creates a better and more productive workplace
because managers and employees better understand their own behavioral style and
learn to adapt to those with whom they work. One of the reasons that DISC
is such a practical value is that it was specifically designed to address
business-related behaviors. DISC isn't a personality test as it doesn't attempt
to create a complete psychological profile of the user. Instead, it concentrates
on how individuals behave at work. This makes the DISC model very easy to
understand and makes the insights truly accessible and applicable to real-life
business situations.
Specifically, DISC profiles help you and your
team to more effectively understand:
- What motivates you
- The motivational needs of other people
- What causes you stress
- How you solve problems, and how your style
affects how you manage time and make decisions
- How you respond to conflict
- How to adapt your own style to get along
better with others
- Your natural style for developing others and
learn to identify and adapt to the styles of direct reports
- Ways to get constructive and creative group
interactions
- Your manager’s natural priorities and
preferences and explore different approaches to improve effectiveness
This interactive program will:
- Provide a method for recognizing the
behavioral styles of others as a way to work effectively and achieve results
- Help you learn about your directing and
delegating style and identify the needs of others
- Explore the environments we create and
identify the motivational needs of other people
- Provide a system for developing others and a
way to identify and adapt to the styles of direct reports
