Exporting Marketing Channel Audits 2016

Course "Exporting Marketing Channel Audits, Importing Marketing Channel Audits, and Logistics Channel Incoterms Standards" has been pre-approved by RAPS as eligible for up to 12 credits towards a participant's RAC recertification upon full completion.

Overview:

This seminar focuses on the necessary procedures and documentations that are used by exporter and importers in this global economy. Topics include Operation Analysis, Preliminary Considerations, Sales Agents´ Roles and Responsibilities, License Policies and Applications, Purchase Transactions, and Distributor and Sale Agent Agreements. This training will provide information on how exporters and importers operate in this global economy to meet customer´s demands and expectations. It provides basic definitions, reviews the roles of an exporter and importers in any type of business organization, and presents basic principles and rules that ought to be used wherever exporting and/or importing goods overseas and cross international borders. The training will also address the core responsibility that every importer and exporters should know before entering a new market or an existing one: It will discuss the documentations that are needed to accomplish an import and export business deal. It will describe those critical import and export resources such as people, materials, and facilities and equipment that are needed to complete a transaction. It will look at the underlying federal, domestic and international rules and regulations that deal with importing and exporting goods around the world. The mentioned learning objectives are categorized in the below topics. They are as followed:

• Discuss the roles and responsibilities of the exporter and importer as they develop an import and export procedural methods for their organizations.
• Research and interpret the various types of export/import´s procedures and documentations for small to larger business firms
• Demonstrate an understanding of the import/export customs regulations and laws that are used in the international logistics systems.
• Solve import/export customs problems based on the training discussion and lectures.
• Understanding the roles and responsibilities of the licensed customs broker (e.g., customs clearance appraisement, bonded warehouse entry, examination of goods, harmonized tariffs, fees, bonding, penalties, quotas, immediate delivery, consumption and liquidation, computerized systems, laws, and regulations).

Why should you attend?

This Custom Regulation training provides the importer and exporter with procedural steps to determine which government agency has jurisdiction over their shipment of specified goods in accordance to thew Bureau of Export Administration (BXA). We will also discuss the role of the Office of Export Enforcement who are in charge investigating the export control violations, but it also manages the Safeguards Verification Program that is connected the export license application and how the exporter should verify the post-shipment disposition of their goods. Then, all of the customs compliance audit and assessment processes are associated to record-keeping requirements that might be known to the importer under the Recordkeeping Compliance Handbook. Many companies have relied on their intermediaries (channel distributors) to maintain and manage their record-keeping compliance information to avoid pitfalls when trying to make Customs. Lastly, it explains what Incoterms are appropriately acceptable as shipping terms or delivery terms and what are the standard practices in the usage of the terms in an importing and exporting environment. This customs conditions analysis will help to explain the best reason both the buyer and seller must understand their obligations when it comes to the delivery of the goods that are associated the storage and handling charges that might incur in the shipment process.

• How the Bureau of Export Administration procedures will have an effect on the exporter’s Export Control and Licensed Officer.

• What are the major exporting license criteria and how it affects exportation process?
• Explaining how to develop an Export Management System?
• Define and describe the compliance with foreign laws. Why is it considered an important aspect of the exportation process?
• How the formation of purchase agreements is used within the importation process?
• What is the purpose of the Entry Summary form?
• Why is the administrative summons form used in the importation process?
• Explaining how to complete the general certificate of compliance and certification of conformity documentation in the importing process.
• Define and describe the compliance with foreign laws. Why is it considered an important aspect of the importation process?
• What are the terms that can be used for inland and sea transactions?
• Which party should purchase marine insurance for each shipping elements before delivery operations?
• How can each party reduce the risk of losses and damage goods during shipment process?
• Which party is responsible for paying the cost of the carriage when various intermodals are used in the channel of the distribution process?
• What are the minimum obligations for each party during when it comes to paying the delivery duties in the exportation process?
• Explain exporting terms and formalities that are directly or indirectly to loading and offloading of the goods.

Lecture 4: Incoterms 2010-Term of Sales and Comprehensive Exam or quiz will be given in the conference.

Day 2 Schedule:

Lecture 1: Import: Preliminary Consideration
Lecture 2: Import Process and Purchase Documentations
Lecture 3: Purchase Documentations and Specialized Exporting and Importing
Lecture 4: Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) and Importing, and Comprehensive Exam or quiz will be given in the conference.
