What are the times for seminars?
All of our seminars start at 8:30 a.m. with a continental
breakfast available in the meeting room at 8:00 a.m. The seminars will end at
approximately 5:00 p.m., except on the last day which will end closer to 4:30
p.m.
Where will the seminar be held?
All of the seminars are conducted in a major hotel or
conference center. A block of sleeping rooms is generally booked in the same
hotel at a lower rate. Participants should make their own plans for travel and
lodging. Attendees can take advantage of the lower sleeping room rate available
in the same hotel where the seminar is conducted or make alternate arrangements.
In most cases each hotel is located such that a rental car is not necessary.
From the airport to the hotel, a taxi or shuttle works fine. Once in the area
where the hotel is situated, there is plenty to do within a short walk or a
short cab ride. To obtain hotel information for a particular seminar, please
call 1-800-349-1935.
Does The Burke Institute offer a team discount if I
register multiple people?
How to Qualify: Have 4 people from the same company attend the same course
and only pay for 3. The 4th person can attend at no charge. All attendees must
attend the same course, at the same time in the same location. This offer may
not be combined with other offers nor may it be spread out over different
sessions during the year. The Team Fee is subject to enrollment availability.
(The Focus Group Moderator Training and Specialized Moderator Skills for
Qualitative Research Applications seminars are excluded from this offer.)
What other fee reductions are available?
There are several ways in which you obtain significant
savings:
-
Combination
Fee: An
individual registering for two consecutive seminars during the same week in the
same city may deduct $200 from the second seminar. Recommended seminar
combinations have been identified. Contact a representative for more details at
1-800-349-1935.
-
Certificate

Registration fees for the three Certificate Programs result in substantial

and Applications program ($9000 fee) you can realize a savings of $4170- $5770; for the
Certificate of Proficiency in Qualitative Research ($5000 fee), the savings is $790; and for

Pass Program
– The Burke Institute Individual Pass Programs are available in 3, 6, and 12
month options. Under the Pass Program, you would pay one flat fee per person and
attend as many Burke Institute US-based seminars as you want during the
designated timeframe. You can save thousands of dollars over the course of a
year. The fees for the pass program are as follows: 3 Month Fee: $6,500; 6 Month
Fee: $9000; and 12 Month Fee: $10,500.
Savings programs cannot be combined with one another. We
will be happy to work with you to set up the best program to meet your budget
and training needs.
Can I get your seminars delivered on-site?
All of The Burke Institute seminars are available for
in-company presentation. One or more staff members of The Burke Institute will
conduct the seminar at a time and location most convenient to you. A major
benefit of the in-house program is the freedom to modify the content of the
current seminars to meet the individual company needs. Customization allows the
sponsoring company the flexibility to emphasize the most relevant issues and to
minimize those not as relevant. There is also the very real benefit of having
everyone exposed to the same material at the same time. The in-house seminar
program also provides substantial cost savings in registration fees as well as
participant travel costs. The actual savings are typically 30 - 50% of the cost
of attending regularly scheduled seminars and depend on the number of
participants and the length of the seminars.
Is there any pre-work before I attend the seminar?
There is no pre-work required before attending any of the
seminars.
Are continuing education credits available?
All Burke Institute seminars are authorized to receive
Continuing Education Units (CEU) in conformance with guidelines established by
the National Task Force on the Continuing Education Unit. Call for CEU
information.
The Burke Institute reserves the right to make changes in
programs and speakers, or to cancel programs if enrollment criteria are not met
or when conditions beyond its control prevail. Every effort will be made to
contact each enrollee if a program is canceled. If a program is not held for
any reason, The Burke Institute's liability is limited to the refund of the
program fee only. |
