ABOUT THE PRESENTER

LISA ASBELL, RN, CITRMS, CHP, is a licensed registered nurse. She specializes in helping medical facilities comply with the FACTA Law, HIPAA, the New HITECH Act, and OSHA regulations. In addition, she is also a specialist with DoctorsManagement, LLC., a medical health care consulting firm that specializes in practice management services. As a result of her extensive knowledge, she is frequently asked to speak before both large and small audiences nationwide on medical compliance, regulatory, and data security topics. Her clinical experience includes working as a labor and delivery nurse and as a nurse supervisor in a long-term care facility, giving her first hand knowledge of the many challenges today’s practitioner faces. She is a member of the National Speaker's Association, a Certified HIPAA professional through the HIPAA Academy, and a Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist through the Institute of Fraud Risk Management.
