This seminar is designed for special needs directors, principals, school social workers, guidance counselors, teachers, case managers, social workers, superintendents and psychologists.
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) spells out the requirements of schools in providing appropriate academic opportunities for children with special needs. Most of our struggles in this area occur when we attempt to apply these regulations to unique individuals in our classrooms. In this seminar, the presenters will provide practical solutions for bringing the school, family, and child together to produce the best possible environment for learning. Our goal is to help everyone involved in the education of children with special needs develop more tools for building the positive partnerships necessary to help our children reach their potential. We believe this day of learning will benefit administrators, teachers, support staff, and parents.
