Syllabus:
This seminar is designed for commercial property owners, health care facility owners, industrial and business controllers, CFOs, tax managers and officers, accountants, bookkeepers, real estate professionals and commercial leasing agents.
This course will serve as both an update to current developments and an overview of the issues related to depreciation of commercial property and its impact on income taxation. The course will discuss the opportunities available that have arisen from recent court cases and changes to federal tax law, as well as discuss areas where taxpayers often misclassify assets and cost themselves tax dollars. This course is designed to help those who advise clients on depreciation issues, such as attorneys and certified public accountants in public practice, as well as controllers and others working in organizations that have commercial property.
