Foundations of Manual Lymphatic Drainage: 3
Keys to Successful MLD Outcomes

PRESENTER'S BIO
LISA DIFALCO, MSOT, LMT, CLT–LANA,
began working for one of the pioneers of lymphedema treatment in the US, Dr.
Robert Lerner, 20 years ago as a Lymphedema Specialist. Soon after, she became
Clinic Director of the LTS Clinic in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Ms. DiFalco expanded
the use of MLD to serve pediatric thru geriatric populations, hospice and pain
management. Since then, she has played an active role in public and professional
education as a published researcher, columnist, radio personality, and college
educator.
Ms. DiFalco has a passion for MLD techniques. She found the outcomes of MLD to
be so extraordinary that she felt compelled to continue her education in
occupational therapy at Barry University so she would be able to educate
professionals and the public as to its many benefits. Combining her LMT and OT
backgrounds, Ms. DiFalco worked with leading plastic surgeons to refine MLD
protocols for patient recovery. She has been an honored speaker at over 100
conventions, hospitals, med–spas, and colleges, and she currently serves on
several academic advisory boards and is Education Chair for the FSMTA.
