Training Course Syllabus:

Developing and implementing Service Level Management (SLM) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) can be among the most challenging, time intensive, tasks that you will undertake at your Support Center.  But, make no mistake, these tools are extremely valuable and worth the effort to improving the support and services you provide your customers.

Fundamentally, the Service Level Management process provides a methodology for introducing and implementing reasonable expectations for the customers at your Support Center.  Without SLAs you’re effectively telling your customers you’ll support them any time, under any conditions, without any limitations to the systems and services they have.  SLAs serve as guides, for establishing good, sound business relationships. Before you can establish and maintain a customer SLA, you must achieve total IT Enterprise alignment and the entire IT Enterprise must commit to an on-going SLA process. This two day training class addresses what it takes for you to determine the protocols for introducing and implementing SLAs between your internal IT organization, your customers and your Customer Support facility.

You’ll Learn:

  • The purpose of Service Level Management
  • An understanding of the pre-requisites and pitfalls
  • The identification process-how to engage the IT Enterprise
  • The development process
  • The negotiation process
  • How to establish priority/severity classifications
  • The importance of measurement and reporting
  • How to ensure the continual on-going maintenance
  • The importance of establishing new/change product or service requirements
  • How to put it all together in a case study
  • Presented by:  Char LaBounty, President-LaBounty & Associates, Inc.
